Halal-certified food products bring more Halal corners
Singapore supermarket chain NTUC FairPrice said it planned to add more Halal corners in its stores to better cater to the needs of Muslim customers.
FairPrice announced this on Friday at the launch of its new Brunei Halal range of products, at its Joo Chiat Complex branch.

Brunei Halal is an exclusive range of Halal-certified food products imported from Brunei.
For a start, more than 20 products including instant noodles, chocolates and biscuits, are available at most of its supermarkets and stores. FairPrice is the first to offer Brunei Halal products outside of Brunei Darussalam. To date FairPrice has Halal corners certified by MUIS - the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore - at 10 of its outlets.
NTUC FairPrice CEO Seah Kian Peng said: "We see this market growing, so there are a few things happening.

"Number one, we intend to expand the number of Halal corners in our stores; we certainly want to work with as many suppliers to bring in (as possible)".
